HubSpot's latest update addresses a common pain point for marketers by expanding where and how you can manage marketing contact status, providing greater flexibility and efficiency in contact management.
Updating marketing contact status just got a whole lot easier in HubSpot.
If you've ever needed to update a contact's marketing status but were stuck because this action was only available in contact-based workflows, this update is for you.
Previously, the "Set marketing contact status" action was only available in contact-based workflows. So if you wanted to customise the marketing status of a contact based on a deal, ticket or company trigger, you had to find a workaround.
With this latest update, you can now set associated contacts as marketing or non-marketing contacts in any type of workflow – not just in contact-based ones.
For example, imagine a deal is marked as "Closed lost". Instead of manually updating the decision maker's contact record, you can now automate the process directly from a deal-based workflow.
This is a small but powerful update that gives you more control over your database and helps optimise your marketing spend.
This feature is available for Professional Customer Platform, Enterprise Customer Platform, Marketing Pro, and Marketing Enterprise users.
